How solar panels made our mask manufacturing more sustainable
Our ISOL/8 FLUIDSAFE Surgical Masks are predominantly manufactured on an automated assembly line equipped with advanced robotics and machinery. Despite the high energy efficiency of our machinery, the substantial volume of production necessitates considerable electricity consumption annually.
Recognizing the environmental impact of this energy usage, we implemented an initiative in 2023 to integrate solar panels into our operations. Presently, a significant portion of our energy needs for mask production, exceeding 50%, is met through the utilization of solar power, aligning with our commitment to sustainability and renewable resources.
Moving forward, our strategic agenda includes expanding our solar panel infrastructure and exploring energy storage solutions to progress towards achieving 100% reliance on renewable energy in the production of our FLUIDSAFE Surgical Masks.
